Located on the left side of the valve cover is an option plate showing the engine serial number, model number and any optional equipment used on the engine. If the option plate is missing the engine serial number is stamped on the cylinder block below the manifolds. An example of a Series 60 serial number is 06RXXXXXXX. The engine serial number is required when placing a parts order. Model number 6067-WK60 represents an 11.1 liter Series 60 engine that is controlled with DDEC III or IV electronics to be used in a 1991 or later truck.
